Terms & Conditions
  1. Notes on Personal Data: Applicants should read and agree to the Notes on Personal Data (Click here to see the full text).
  2. To ensure the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong vehicles" to be implemented in an orderly manner, the governments of Guangdong and Hong Kong agreed to introduce a cap on the number of travelling vehicles per day. Vehicles issued with the Mainland electronic vehicle licence and Closed Road Permit (CRP) / e-Approval Letter under "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong vehicles" must reserve the specified date and time with the "Specified Dates Booking System" for travelling Guangdong Province via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Hong Kong Port. The specified dates and times are subject to changes from time to time. Applicants are reminded to visit the theme page for latest arrangement before reserving specified date and time.
  3. The Specified Dates Booking arrangement under the Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles is applicable to vehicles travelling to Guangdong Province only; and no booking is required for vehicles returning to Hong Kong via the HZMB.

    4. Violation of Travelling Regulations

  4. If the vehicle issued with Closed Road Permit (CRP) / e-Approval Letter under "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong vehicles" did not reserve a specified dates and times or did not travel during the assigned specified dates and times, the law enforcement agencies of the Mainland and Hong Kong government authorities may refuse to allow the vehicle to travel to Guangdong Province via the HZMB.
  5. The Mainland and Hong Kong government authorities/ departments may disclose to the Transport Department any information or record obtained during discharge of their official duties concerning applicants' non-compliance with or contravention of any requirements under the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong vehicles" and other relevant legal provisions. These include, but are not limited to, crossing records.

    6. The Transport Department reserves the right to carry out random checks of the crossing records of vehicles under the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" to ensure that travelers travel according to the reserved period. If any vehicle is found to have violated the travel arrangements, the Transport Department will issue a warning letter / reminder message to the permit holder at the time of the first violation. All non-compliant records will be kept for one year from the date of the violation. If the vehicle is found to have violated the travel arrangements again, the Transport Department holds the right to suspend the eligibility to make travel reservations through the "Specified Date Booking System", or revoke their eligibility for "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong vehicles", or even suspend their eligibility to apply for the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" again. The Transport Department will also notify the Mainland authorities to cancel the Mainland Electronic Vehicle Licence of the concerned vehicle.

    No booking on specified days, not travelling to Guangdong Province at the reserved period, or not entering Guangdong Province after travel at the reserved period (e.g. returned halfway or diverted to HZMB Macao Port East Carpark):
      • First time in the past year: Warning message
      • Second time in the past year: Suspension of making travel booking for four weeks
      • Third time in the past year: Suspension of making travel booking for six weeks
      • Fourth time in the past year: Cancellation of "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" eligibility and suspension of re-enrolling into the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" for three months


    Not travelling after booking:
      • First time in the past year: Reminder message
      • Second time in the past year: Warning message
      • Third time in the past year: Suspension of making travel booking for four weeks
      • Fourth time in the past year: Suspension of making travel booking for six weeks
      • Fifth time in the past year: Cancellation of "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" eligibility and suspension of re-enrolling into the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" for three months


    Booking for Travelling

  6. "Specified Dates Booking System" will open the booking for subsequent month starting from the middle of each month. The reservation is on a first-come, first-served basis subject to availability.
  7. Applicants are required to reserve the specified date and time before 12:00 noon on the day before the reserved day in advance via the "Specified Dates Booking System".
  8. Applicants can only reserve one specified date and time each time they log in to the "Specified Dates Booking System". If applicants wish to reserve another reserve specified date and time, please log in to the system again. Applicants may only reserve one specified time slot in a calendar day.
  9. Applicants must possess valid Mainland licences (e.g. Mainland electronic vehicle licence, the Mainland Driving Licence); and a valid CRP / e-Approval Letter issued by the Transport Department; and purchase relevant insurance as required by the Mainland government authorities (i.e. "Compulsory Traffic Accident Liability Insurance for Motor Vehicles" or "unilateral recognition" insurance) in order to travel to Guangdong Province via the HZMB during the successfully reserved specified date and time.
  10. If the licences or permits for the vehicles required for entry to the Guangdong Province (e.g. Mainland electronic vehicle licence, the Mainland Driving Licence) or the CRP / e-Approval Letter become invalid, reservation of specified date and time from the concerned vehicles will not be accepted.

    11. Cancel Reservation

  11. If applicants wish to cancel the reserved specified date and time, they must cancel the booking via the "Specified Dates Booking System" before 12:00 noon on the day before the reserved day.
  12. Applicants may reserve another specified date and time via the "Specified Dates Booking System" upon cancellation of reservation.
